How did you hear about PBSP® initially? Through my wife, Helen Gilbert, who was introduced to PBSP® through Will Larsen.
Why did you want to become a certified PBSP® therapist/supervisor/trainer? Two main reasons: to work towards becoming the best psychotherapist I can be; to do my part in seeing that this remarkable system continues into the future.
What do you think of PBSP® as a therapy process and/or how do you use it in your work? I'm most attracted to working in "depth" with people. To me this means, in large part, helping people to work at the cause of symptoms on not just on symptom relief. I use PBSP® theory and practice towards that end.
What are your other PBSP® involvements if any? I helped found the North Central Psychomotor Society (of which I'm President of right now. The North Central was host for the 5th International PBSP® Congress in Minneapolis. Please note that the North Central Psychomotor Society, which hosted the 5th International PBSP® Congress, still has available for purchase, copies of DVD's of some of the key note speakers: Martha Stark's - "Louisa Howe Memorial Lecture" Bessel van der Kolk's talk - "Frontiers of Trauma Treatment," and Albert Pesso's - "Looking toward the Future". The cost is $45 per DVD or $120 for all three. Contact Jim Amundsen (jimamundsen@comcast.net, or phone, 651-649-0984) if you are interested in these DVD's (Note that these DVDs were videotaped by Michael Bachg of Osnabrueck, Germany and therefore they play in all computers, but may not display properly in all US DVD players - the format is PAL.)
Other than PBSP® what you do for work and/or other interests? Playing music, skiing, being a grandparent are my top interests other then PBSP® right now. Return to Who's Who in PBSP®
