"Secrets, Lies and Betrayals"

Best selling author Maggie Scarf's  book, "Secrets, Lies and Betrayals: The Body/Mind Connection, How the Body Holds the Secrets of a Life, and How to Unlock Them" was published by Random House in 2004.  The final three chapters of this book are about PBSP® including a detailed account of one client's PBSP® Structure led by Albert Pesso, and Maggie's follow-up with this client in the Epilogue.

"Handbook of Body-Psychotherapy  / Handbuch der Körperpsychotherapie"

 Albert Pesso has written a chapter tentatively titled “The Externalized Realization of the Unconscious and the Corrective Experience” for this book edited by Halko Weiss, and Gustl Marlock. This book will come out in German this summer (2004) by the leading academic psychology publisher in the German language, Hogrefe VerlagIt is composed of about ninety chapters written by approximately sixty people from twelve countries who are prominent in the Body Psychotherapy field worldwide today.  This book is and has been sponsored by the EABP (European Association of Body-Psychotherapy) and its German and Swiss National Organizations.  An American edition entirely translated into English is being planned to come out sometime in 2005
Halko Weiss, PH.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist, a founding member and Senior trainer for the Hakomi Institute in Boulder, Colorado; and the International Director of the Hakomi Institute of Europe. He also is the former coordinator for the ongoing PBSP® experiential workshops Al Pesso leads for Hakomi therapists in Heidelberg, Germany. Gustl Marlock is a licensed clinical psychologist, a trainer for Unitive Psychology, and the former president of the German Body-Psychotherapy Association.

"The Flesh of the Soul"

The book The Flesh of the Soul was published from the articles of the presenters of the 1999 "the Flesh of the Soul" Conference of the European Association for Body Psychotherapy in Travemunde, Italy.  Albert Pesso was a keynote speaker at this conference; his article, "How the Body Remembers", is among the chapters in this book which was edited by Michael Heller and published in 2001 by Peter Lang (Heller, Michael (ed.): Bern: Peter Lang. 2001 ISBN 3-906764-98-2.  For a review of the book and purchasing information go to:  http://www.eabp.org/flesh.htm.  

Between Stress and Hope

The trauma book Between Stress and Hope; From a Disease-Centered to a Health-Centered Perspective, edited by Rebecca Jacoby and Giora Keinan was published by Greenwood Publishing Group October 30th, 2003.  Al Pesso wrote one of the last chapters in this book titled, "Cultivating the Seeds of Hope". The two editors are professors in the Psychology Department of the University of Tel Aviv, in Israel. Ms Jacoby has taken some training in PBSP® with Al Pesso in Israel and NH, USA. This book is available directly from Greenwood Publishing Group, or from Amazon.com
